Careful What You Wish For..

Before my walk yesterday I was thinking about the fact that I want some tiny feathers for a project.  On the property I suddenly saw some tiny feathers cast in blue.  I looked around and saw remnants of eggshells and some larger blue jay feathers.  Obviously our falcons are the usual suspects.  We love them, but there is a dark side to them.  The falcons must eat, but what I saw was the site of a struggle and the ending of small bird lives.  I guess it is just nature in action.  However, it was not the way I wanted to get my feathers!
